JUMBO BLOCK ON FAST LINES BETWEEN SANTACRUZ AND MAHIM (JN.) STATIONS ON SUNDAY 30th NOVEMBER, 2014
To carry out maintenance work of track, signalling & overhead equipments, five hours jumbo block will be taken between Santacruz and Mahim Jn. stations from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs on Sunday i.e 30thNovember, 2014 on Up & Down through i.e fast lines.
During the block period, all Up & Down fast line trains will run on local (i.e. slow) lines between Santacruz and Mahim stations.
Level Crossing Gate No.19 between Bandra and Khar will remain closed for road traffic during block period.
Due to the block, some up & dn local trains will remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations.
Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.

Shri Hemant Kumar, General Manager, Western Railway writing his remarks in Visitors Book placed at the exhibition held at Bandra railway station on the historical occasion of completion of 150 glorious years of WR network in Mumbai.
Western Railway known as lifeline of Nation’s financial capital Mumbai, completed 150 glorious years of beginning of its rail network in Mumbai on Friday, 28th November, 2014. To mark this historical occasion an informative 3 days exhibition was held near platform No.1 of Bandra Local station premises, which was inaugurated by Shri Hemant Kumar, General Manager, Western Railway. Speaking on this occasion with media persons, Shri Kumar said that Western Railway has always played an important role in the geographical, social and financial development of Mumbai and on the glorious occasion of the historical 150th anniversary of its rail network in Mumbai, we reiterate our commitment of best possible and continuous service towards the Mega City Mumbai. on this occasion, General Manager Shri Kumar also released an historical book published in Marathi under the title ‘Itihaasaat Dokaavataana’. This book consists of the Marathi version of the articles compiled from the old issues of the BB&CI magazines and West Rail journals describing the growth of western lines along with the growth of Mumbai city.
The 3 days exhibition held under the title ‘150 Glorious Years of W.Rly. network in Mumbai’ showcases Western Railway’s rich heritage in the form of posters, photographs, models, scrollers, etc. Models of steam engine, BB&CI EMU coach, working train model, etc. are the main attraction of the exhibition which are getting tremendous response from rail commuters, rail enthusiasts and general public. Silver cutlery of the era of BB&CI railway which was used in the dining cars of trains, has also been displayed in the exhibition. on this occasion, various senior railway officers were present including principal heads of departments & Shri Shailendra Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Central Division.
BB&CI, Railway, the precursor of Western Railway started the work of construction of railway line from Utran and it reached Grant Road in Bombay in 1864. 150 years ago, on November 28, 1864, the first Bombay Baroda and Central India (BB&CI) train on the western coastal lines of Bombay (now, Mumbai), chugged from Grant Road station to Ahmedabad in Gujarat, heralding a new era of seamless and direct connectivity of Bombay (now Mumbai) with Gujarat and also further northwards.
SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN JAIPUR – PUNE VIA VASAI ROAD on 30th November, 2014
For the convenience of passengers and to clear extra rush one trip of special train will be run for the benefit of passengers betweenJaipur and Pune via Vasai Road station.
·JAIPUR - PUNE SPECIAL EXPRESS via Vasai Rd
Train No. 09709 Jaipur - Pune Special Express train will depart from Jaipur at 09.15 hrs on 30th November, 2014 (Sunday) and reach Vasai Road at 05.40 hrs on next day i.e 01/12/14 and reach Pune at 10.30 hrs on Monday 01st December, 2014. This train will run only for one day i.e on 30th November, 2014.
The train will halt at Durgapura, Banasthali Niwai, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ramganj Mandi, Nagda, Ratlam, Dahod, Godhra, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan and Lonavala station.
The train will have AC II tier, AC III tier, sleeper class and II class general coaches.
WR EXTENDS RUN OF TRI - WEEKLY PREMIUM AC SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN MUMBAI CENTRAL & NEW DELHI

Train No. 22913 Mumbai Central – New Delhi Tri-Weekly Premium AC Superfast Special train departing Mumbai Central at 16:00 hrs on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and reaching New Delhi at 08.00 hrs the next day is further extended upto 07th January, 2015. The extended trips are from 17th December, 2014 to 07th January, 2015.
Similarly, Train No. 22914 New Delhi - Mumbai Central Tri-Weekly Premium AC Superfast Special train departing New Delhi at 14.45 hrs on Thursday, Saturday and Monday and arriving Mumbai Central at 06.55 hrs the next day is further extended upto 08th January, 2015. The extended trips are from 18th December, 2014 to 08thJanuary, 2015.
Enroute train will halt only at Vadodara and Kota station. The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier& Pantry car
The booking of these trains will be available only through Internet. The booking of extended trips of train no. 22913 departing Mumbai Central will be as per Advance Reservation Period of 15 days (excluding day of journey), only through internet, that is IRCTC’s portal and not through the counters at reservation centres. The passengers are required to carry the prescribed original photo identity card which is used at the time of booking. The fares applicable for each day/transaction shall be indicated at the time of booking on the IRCTC’s e-ticketing website.
EXTRA COACHES IN 2 PAIRS OF TRAINS
For the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush, Railways have decided to add an extra coach on temporary basis in 2 pairs of trains.
One AC 2 Tier coach will be added to Train No 12490/12489 Dadar-Bikaner Express from 30th November to 14thDecember, 2014 Ex Dadar and from 29th November to 13th December, 2014 Ex Bikaner.
one AC 2 Tier coach will be added to Train No 22474/22473 Bandra (T) – Bikaner Superfast Express from 02nd December to 16th December, 2014 Ex Bandra (T) and from 01st December to 15thDecember, 2014 Ex Bikaner.
TRI-WEEKLY AC SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN UDHANA AND PUNE VIA VASAI ROAD
To facilitate the passengers and clear the extra rush, it has been decided to run 18 trips of AC Special Train between Udhana and Pune via Vasai Road.
Accordingly, Train No. 02410 Udhana – Pune Tri-Weekly AC Special train will leave from Udhana at 13.50 hrs on every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and will reach Pune at 22.15 hrs on same day. This train will run from 26th November, 2014 to 12th December, 2014.
Similarly, Train no 02409 Pune – Udhana Tri-Weekly AC Special train will depart from Pune at 05.15 hrs on every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and will reach Udhana at 12.15 hrs on same day. This train will also run from 26th November, 2014 to 12thDecember, 2014.
This train will halt at Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Boisar, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Lonavala stations in both the directions.
The train will comprise of Executive AC Chair Car and AC Chair Car Coaches.

·No waitlisted tickets shall be issued. There will be no refund except when the train is fully cancelled on railway account due to unforeseen circumstances or due to severe disturbances affecting operations. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be applicable to this train.
·The booking of these trains will be available only through Internet. The booking of train no. 22913 departing Mumbai Central on 30thNovember, 03rd December and 05th December, 2014 shall be available from 21st November, 2014 and, for the rest of the trips as per Advance Reservation Period of 15 days(excluding day of journey), only through internet, that is IRCTC’s portal and not through the counters at reservation centers. The passengers are required to carry the prescribed original photo identity card which is used at the time of booking. The fares applicable for each day/transaction shall be indicated at the time of booking on the IRCTC’s e-ticketing website.
·The advance reservation period will be shorter, that is a maximum of 15 days. The fare is also likely to increase depending on the demand intensity.

Railways have decided to temporary augment one AC 3tier Coach in 3 pairs of trains i.e. 12216/15 Bandra Terminus – New Delhi Garib Rath Express, 04972/71 Jammu Tavi – Udaipur Garib Rath Express and 12432/31 Nizamuddin – Tiruvanantpuram Rajdhani Express.
One AC 3 Tier coach is added to 12216/15 Bandra Terminus – New Delhi Garib Rath Express upto 31stDecember, 2014 Ex Bandra Terminus and upto 30th December,2014 Ex New Delhi.
One AC 3 Tier coach is added to 04972/71 Jammu Tavi – Udaipur Garib Rath Express between 20thNovember, 2014 to 27th November,2014 Ex Jammu Tawi and between 21st November,2014 to 28th November,2014 Ex Udaipur.
One AC 3 Tier coach is added to 12432/31 Nizamuddin – Tiruvanantpuram Rajdhani Express upto 31stDecember, 2014 Ex Nizamuddin and upto 02nd January,2015 Ex Tiruvanantpuram.
WR to introduce new trains between Ahmedabad and Allahabad & Hapa and Bilaspur
Western Railway has decided to introduce new train services between Ahmedabad and Allahabad stations & between Hapa and Bilaspur stations.
·Ahmedabad – Allahabad Weekly Express (via Surat-Jalgaon)
Train No.19417 Ahmedabad – Allahabad weekly express will leave Ahmedabad on every Thursday from 13th November,2014 at 14.00 hrs to reach Allahabad at 16.40 hrs next day. In return direction, train No. 19418 Allahabad – Ahmedabad weekly express will leave Allahabad on every Friday from 14thNovember,2014 at 21.05 hrs and will arrive Ahmedabad at 02.30 hrs on Sunday.
The train will have AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Second class sleeper & Second class general coaches.
Enroute the train will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna and Manikpur station in both directions.
The booking of train no. 19417 will open from 10th November, 2014 .
·Hapa-Bilaspur Weekly Superfast Express
The Inaugural run of this service will be on Tuesday, 11th November,2014 from Hapa at 13.15 hrs as train no 09435 which will reach Bilaspur at 23.50 hrs on Wedesday.
on its regular run, Train No. 22939 Hapa-Bilaspur Weekly Superfast Express will depart from Hapa at 22.25 hrs on every Tuesday from 18th November,2014 and reach Bilaspur at 04.50 hrs. on Thursday. Similarly, Train No. 22940 Bilaspur-Hapa Weekly Express will run from 13th November,2014 as a regular service. It will depart from Bilaspur at 08.10 hrs on every Thursday and reach Hapa at 14.50 hrs. the next day.
The train will halt at Rajkot, Wankaner, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Akola, Badnera , Wardha , Nagpur, Gondia, Durg and Raipur stationsin both directions.
The train will have AC II Tier, AC III tier, Sleeper Class and General II class coaches.
The booking of train no. 09435 & 22939 will open from 09th November,2014 .
50 % Concession to Students appearing in Final Examination of Diploma Courses conducted by Institute of Rail Transport
Ministry of Railways, have decided as a special case to grant 50 % concession in Second/ Sleeper class in Mail/Express fares to students appearing in Final examination of the four Diploma courses being conducted by Institute of Rail Transport i.e. (i) Diploma Course in Transport Economics & Management – during January/February 2015 (ii) Diploma course in Multi-Model Transport (Containerization) & Logistics Management – during March/April 2015 (iii) Diploma course in Rail Transport & Management – during May/June 2015 and (iv) Two years Diploma course in Port Development & Management – during May/June 2015. The concession will be available for students travelling to their examination centres at Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Secunderabad & Mumbai. Concession will be granted on production of the requisite certificate signed by Executive Director/Manager/Registrar of Institute of Rail Transport, New Delhi.
SEASON TICKET WILL BE CANCELLED FOR FAKE ADDRESS
In view of Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench's instructions, Railway Board has decided that in case of season ticket holders who have once furnished affidavit in proper proforma about their residential address, shall not be required to furnish it again at the time of renewal of that season ticket.
However, season ticket will be cancelled of those passengers who have given fake addresses during the time of issue of season ticket as per details furnished by GRP/RPF. In case, the persons whose season tickets are cancelled, provide proper application with correct address, a fresh season ticket may be issued to such persons.
BORIVALI (E) CIRCULATING AREA ROAD TO BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED
In order to carry out repairs in the Borivali (East) circulating area road, the same will remain temporarily closed for traffic w.e.f 11.11.2014 to 10.12.2014.
One Additional First AC in 12973 Indore-Jaipur Express
Western Railway has decided to temporarily augment one First Class AC in 12973 Indore-Jaipur Express from 03rdNovember,2014 to 01st December,2014. The date of booking of temporary augmented coach of train no 12973 will be opened from 02nd November,2014.
50% TATKAL QUOTA ON DYNAMIC PRICING IN 5 MORE WR TRAINS
50% Tatkal Quota at Dynamic Pricing scheme shall now be implemented in 5 more trains which originating from Western Railway.
It has been decided previously by Ministry of Railways, that 50% of the existing tatkal quota shall be sold under dynamic fare scheme. After booking of the 50% of the tatkal quota under Tatkal scheme, the subsequent 50% of the tatkal quota, defined as premium tatkal quota shall be sold on dynamic pricing.

To clear extra rush during festival season, Railways have decided to run a holiday Express Weekly Special train between Ajmer and Surat & premium Superfast Express special train between Nizamuddin & Madgaon .

Train No. 09604 Surat-Ajmer Holiday Express Weekly Special Train will depart from Surat at 22.10 hrs on every Wednesday and reach Ajmer at 15.10 hrs on next day. This train will run from 08th October, 2014 to 12th November, 2014.
Similarly, Train No. 09603 Ajmer-Surat Holiday Express Weekly Special Train will depart from Ajmer at 05.30 hrs on every Wednesday and reach Surat at 20.55 hrs on same day . This train will run from 08th October, 2014 to 12th November, 2014.
The train will halt at Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Mandsore, Neemach, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar and Nasirabad stations in both directions.

Similarly, Train No. 04429 Madgaon - Nizamuddin Premium Super Fast Express Special will depart from Madgaon at 20.00 hrs on every Sunday and reach Nizamuddin at 04.55 hrs on Tuesday . This train will run from 12thOctober, 2014 to 30th November, 2014.
